Object tracking robot Part 1

For a few days now I have been  thinking of building an object tracking robot as my very first robot.

Parts I plan to use

1) Arduino board
2) Android phone
3) Robot base kit
4) Opencv
5) Android studio
6) Couple of servos
7) Servo board

I used Opencv and an Android phone S4, more about it in another post here.

Mechanics 

Got this chassis kit from ebay for 10$
Consists of a pair of motor driven wheels with motors fastening kit and a trolley wheel. Enough to get your basic mechanics going.

The hand project

The aim of this project is to build a robotic hand that can analyse objects. This project consists of two main a parts the hardware and the software parts, while the hardware portion is a combination of mechanical and electronic challenges and the second part is purely the software part of it which utilizes artificial intelligence to analyse feedback.
